However staying closer to your highland cottage is also a great idea and a lovely woodland walk starts right on your doorstep. For golfers, a course is just a short walk away and fishermen have excellent local opportunities too. Strathpeffer attracts many visitors, especially during the summer months when the local pipe band come out to play and entertain the visitors.
