The property

An impressive semi-detached, spacious and very well-equipped cottage, superbly located in the town of Cullen on the stunning Moray Firth, on the scenic north east coast of Scotland. With accommodation spread over three floors, this Cullen cottage offers welcoming extras such as table tennis and an external games room annexe with a pool table. The relaxed atmosphere of this Moray Firth cottage makes it an ideal retreat for large families or groups of friends, offering both a superb location and spacious accommodation. With generous living areas and flexible sleeping arrangements, the house comfortably accommodates up to ten adults. Six well-appointed bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors, providing excellent versatility to suit a variety of group needs. The well-appointed kitchen/diner in this Cullen cottage has a table seating ten people, a great place for a meal together, plus there is also a second dining area that can accommodate six. If you don’t fancy cooking, the owner provides a welcome pack and a list of suggested attractions and eating venues to help guests make the most of their stay. The welcoming sitting room, with its comfortable sofas, is a perfect place to relax in the evening and the TV room, with its bean bags, will be very popular with the younger guests. At the front of the cottage, a suntrap patio offers an ideal setting for alfresco breakfasts, leisurely lunches, or evening drinks as the day winds down. A private, sheltered courtyard provides a lovely setting for evening dining or drinks under the soft glow of outdoor lights. A secret door in the courtyard leads to the games room – a fantastic retreat for all ages. Light up the open fire for a warm night in, try your hand at the pool table, hit a bullseye on the dart board, or unwind at the bar area – perfect for cool and cushy evenings. Perfectly placed for exploring your surroundings, this central location makes it easy to explore the beauty of Cullen. A stroll down the hill will lead you to the friendly array of shops, sandy beach and nearby playpark that the town has to offer and further on is the dramatic Moray Firth coastline and pretty harbour. Take a swing at the highly rated Cullen Links Golf Club, where the course combines traditional links play with stunning views across the Moray Firth, offering a memorable round in a truly scenic setting. Cullen’s beach is wide, sandy, and perfect for beachcombing, with an abundance of shells and colourful stones to discover. Just steps away, you’ll find the wood-fired Sauna at the Kings—an invigorating seaside experience. Pre-booking is recommended to secure a session and enjoy the warmth with views of the Moray Firth. While you're there, grab a coffee from the nearby silver van—Coffee at The Kings is a local favourite. As the day winds down, visit the Cullen Viaduct—a striking feature of the town’s landscape. Subtly illuminated at night with solar-powered lighting, it highlights the pathway, ideal for an evening stroll. The viaduct forms part of the scenic Moray Coastal Trail and is a highlight of the Cullen Bay to Portknockie circular walk, a 4.75-mile route that blends dramatic cliffside views with peaceful inland paths. The trail follows the old railway line—crossing the viaduct itself—and is suitable for both walkers and cyclists. Along the way, you’ll pass natural landmarks like the Three Kings Rocks and the Bow Fiddle Rock near Portknockie. For those seeking a longer adventure, the route can be extended further along the Moray Coast, offering even more opportunities to enjoy the area’s rugged beauty and wildlife. This lovely Cullen cottage and idyllic location will ensure a wonderful holiday on the beautiful north-east coast of Scotland.
