Sutton Bank is home to one of the best bicycle and walking routes and views in North Yorkshire as well as being a great place to sit and watch the gliders take off, and if you are a lover of the great outdoors there are plenty of other trails for walking and cycling found at Cleveland Way. One pleasant early evening, continue animal spotting by counting the sheep, horses and even llamas in the nearby fields. Be sure to visit the market towns of Northallerton and Thirsk for a number of traditional Yorkshire pubs and restaurants, as well as a selection of shops and supermarkets for picking up any last-minute essentials. Take the opportunity to visit Thirsk Museum, a historic home with interesting displays, or Hambleton Hills, perfect for exploring. The nearby lakes and rivers are ideal for those keen on getting involved with some water sports, including sailing and fishing.
