On those chillier nights, warmth and focus is available in front of the stylish gas-fired stove.
Ascend the staircase to the upper floors, where you will find two large plush bedrooms providing flexibility for different guest configurations. The first floor bedroom provides, at your request, either a zip-linked super-king size bed or two single beds. The second floor bedroom offers a luxurious secluded retreat with king-size bed and 4 skylight Velux windows to see the stars. Each bedroom has its own separate bright and airy walk-in hand and rainfall shower, basin, and WC. Indulge in a warm soak in the free-standing bath in the unusually spacious main bathroom.
For added convenience there is a utility room with a basin and WC inside the back door and coat and boot racks. There is a study nook in the kitchen for those who need to catch up on work or just want to take advantage of the super-fast wi-fi (available throughout the house). A short 5 minute walk from the front door will take you to the 12th century St Michael’s & All Angels church on the edge of the River Wharfe right by the much-photographed ancient course of stepping stones. If cooking is not on the agenda, dine at The Fountaine Inn in Linton, “our local”, or a very short walk across The Falls brings you to Grassington village where an unusually large selection and choice of places to eat and drink is available: The Devonshire Arms, Grassington House and Black Horse Hotel are just a few examples of lovely places to get a taste of local cuisine.Under 10 minutes drive away is the Michelin-stared Angel at Hetton for those seeking to celebrate or simply experience extra fine dining nearby. Riverdale House, near the River Wharfe on the Dales Way, is in a row of former mill cottages built in the late Victorian era.The house was extensively remodelled in 2020 and completely refurnished in 2024.
