Shrouded in waterscapes and tree coated landscapes, it is no surprise that two king-size bedrooms offer stunning views to Eilean Donan Castle in the distance, as well as all of the home comforts you could possibly need to make your stay a delight; one room has a double shower room and king-size with zip/link, that can be set up as a twin on request, whilst the second room boasts a large bathroom with an oval tub perfect for easing you into a relaxed evening in the social space downstairs.
When the great outdoors call, enjoy a coffee on the furnished decking area overlooking the loch before heading out to explore.
Situated in the town of Glenelg, you will find beach walks and forest hikes at your fingertips, perfect for hill walkers, runners, kayakers and wild swimmers as well as a local shop and pub both within a short drive of the house, where you can enjoy a hot meal and stock up on essentials, including the local Dornie Bakery Restaurant. The wildlife in this region of Scotland is also something spectacular, with badgers and pine martins visiting the garden (leave out some apple and honey and see If they visit in the evenings) and the incredible white tailed eagle nesting in the local area.
If you plan to venture further afield you are within easy driving distance of the mainland or there is an Easter to October ferry from Glenelg to Kylerhea (Skye) where you can visit local art and craft shops, pottery makers and stores selling handmade Skye batiks, as well as exploring magical Fairy Pools and Dunvegan Castle. You can also explore the wondrous white sand beaches of Uig and reef, within a day’s driving distance, or lose yourself amongst the culture and history of the region by visiting Armadale Castle or the fairy region.
