Harry Potter fans can also take the opportunity to watch the train crossing the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct. For those with energy to burn or dogs to walk, there is an abundance of walking and hiking trails from the door including the Sgurr Thuilm and Gulvain peaks. Those who love the water can kayak, paddle board, canoe or even swim in the Loch. Jump in the car and head into Fort William which is well worth a visit for a browse and to stock up on essentials. Whilst there take a tour of the Ben Nevis Whiskey Distillery (make sure to have a designated driver if you fancy a wee dram!), the West Highland Museum, Steall Waterfall or the beautiful Glencoe Nature Reserve. Ben Nevis is nearby where you can go skiing in the winter or in the summer, you can try out the well known mountain biking course here.
