The property

Srondubh is a fabulous Georgian house nestled on the outskirts of Poolewe, Highland. This pet-friendly abode boasts spectacular loch and mountain vistas, a warming wood burning stove, and a freestanding bath making it a lovely base for small families, two couples or friends. Park the car and pause to absorb the breath-taking views. Enter via the boot/utility room, then into the stylish kitchen/diner. Throw a log on the wood burning stove set within an exposed brick fireplace as you prep your ingredients for a hearty family meal. Gather around the circular dining table to tuck into your tasty creation, then utilise the dishwasher for an easy clean-up. Ascend the stairs to find the bright sitting room on the first floor, adorned with pictures of nature on the walls and spectacular views across the loch. Choose from two sofas or an armchair, flick on the Smart TV to tune into your favourite shows at the touch of a button. Freshen up in the bathroom with a rainfall shower head or enjoy a soak in the freestanding bath to ease tired muscles. On the ground floor, there is another shower room. Retreat to your sanctuary and drift into peaceful slumber, with the choice of a twin bedroom on the ground floor or a super-king-size on the first floor. Both are welcoming and tastefully furnished, with more landscape images hung on the walls. Roam through Inverewe Garden (National Trust for Scotland) , a lovely botanical oasis, founded in the 1800s, let your green thumb be inspired by over 2,500 flowers and plants from around the world, explore the museum, then commemorate your visit with a thoughtful memento from the gift shop. Take a leisurely stroll with your four-legged friends along the sandy shores of Gruinard or Gairloch Beach. Pack your waterproofs, hiking boots or wellies, and visit Corrieshalloch Gorge National Nature Reserve, one of the greatest of its kind in Britain, enjoy this scenic spot and admire the views from the top, where the water cascades through rugged Highland terrain. Return to Srondubh to enjoy the comfort and views after a day in the outdoors.
