Laggan, with its beautiful Loch, is nearby, whilst 5 miles south is Dalwhinnie, offering the chance to sample a local dram and visit the distillery. Wolftrax, the Laggan Mountain Bike Centre, is just 3 miles away and makes a great day out. Newtonmore, Kingussie, Aviemore, Inverness, Perth and Fort William are all within easy driving distance.
