Head towards the coastline with a visit to the spectacularly located Cilgerran Castle and for the nature lovers of the group, the nearby Welsh Wildlife Centre is perfect for all the family to visit, also housing a lovely café and gift shop. Travel to the coast with a visit to Poppit Sands Beach and its golden terrain and visit Cardigan with its castle, the birthplace of the Welsh Eisteddfod in 1176. A visit to Pentre Ifan's Neolithic Burial Chamber is a must, before rounding off your break in Newport, where you can explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path before enjoying a well earned meal in one of its many fine hostelries.
