The property
Newport 4.5 miles. Bwthyn Eisteddfa Fach is a wonderful, stone-built cottage resting on the outskirts of the coastal town of Newport. This heart-warming retreat enjoys a picturesque countryside setting but is within striking distance of the sublime Pembrokeshire coastline, where a magnitude of attractions and activities can be found to suit all ages and tastes. Upon entering the property, you are welcomed into a real home-from-home sitting room, where you and your loved ones can look forward to curling up on the plush L-shape sofa whilst the woodburning stove fills the room with warmth during the winter months. The spacious kitchen offers a superb spot for the designated chef of the group to prepare delicious evening meals, with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer included for your convenience. Enjoy breakfast or dinner at the dining table, where the floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light and offer views of the surrounding countryside to enjoy whilst you tuck in. Here, you will find three well-presented bedrooms situated across the two floors to choose from, each designed with a refreshing interior, quality linens and ample storage to house your personal items. On the ground floor, you will find a super-king-size bedroom, whilst the first floor boasts a king-size double bedroom and a twin bedroom to ensure a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit the needs of your group. To the outside of the property is the superb garden area, where you and your loved ones can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining before dipping into the warming hot tub to soak up the countryside surroundings further. Continuing to impress is the large lawn area, where your canine companion is welcome to roam. If you can tear yourself away from this quaint base, venture into the coastal town of Newport, where you will be delighted by the selection of shops, pubs and restaurants that await you, as well as the golf course which overlooks the coast. Newport beach is 5 miles away, perfect for long dog walks or to blow away the cobwebs, with great parking and a small shop it is the perfect place for a day by the sea. Brush up on the local history by spending some time at the historical landmark of Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, or slightly further afield is the Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort which promises to be a superb day out for the whole family. For those feeling active, choose to walk the wild landscape of moorland and heath on the Preseli Mountains, where 360-degree panorama offers breath-taking views across the sea to Ireland and to Snowdonia. Bwthyn Eisteddfa Fach promises to be a wonderful base for an action-packed adventure with the whole family. A couple of miles down the coast will bring you to the town of Fishguard
