Summary
Guests appreciated the beautiful sea views and location but expressed concerns about cleanliness, maintenance issues like rotting decking, and noise from nearby construction. While some enjoyed the quirky accommodation, they noted the need for deeper cleaning and attention to various repairs to enhance the experience.
The property
This Edwardian railway carriage, on its clifftop site in Aberporth, really has the wow factor! It has been converted into stunning accommodation full of original charm, while hitting all the right notes on style and comfort. The main rooms all have wonderful views over the sea. On a clear day you can see as far away as North Wales.
There are regular sightings of resident bottlenose dolphins and seals from the carriage. It is also a great bird watching site, with oyster catchers, gannets, cormorants and kittiwakes, as well as kestrels and red kites, to be seen, so you may not want to venture out at all during your stay.
If you do go out, the carriage is just a short distance from the two sandy beaches of Aberporth, as well as the Ceredigion coast path, local pubs, village shops and eateries. New Quay, Tresaith, Llangrannog, Cwmtydu, Cardigan and Aberaeron are all nearby, as are the two beautiful National Trust beaches of Mwnt and Penbryn.
You will enjoy the comfort and style of this snug carriage, and take away with you the memories of the spectacular location.
