There is a pebble beach within walking distance through the countryside where there is a café, or if you prefer there are five pubs and coffee shops in the local village and several restaurants, including a very good Italian and an Indian. The village is also home to two supermarkets, both within a five minute walk, for all your essentials. If you wish to venture further afield there are sandy beaches, such as Southerndown, Ogmore-by-Sea or Merthyr Mawr near Porthcawl and also the holiday beach resort of Barry Island is also close by. However, if a spot of retail therapy is for you, you will find many shops in nearby Cowbridge or a bit further away are Cardiff and Swansea and of course, the designer outlet village at Bridgend. This lovely cottage is an ideal base for exploring all that the area has to offer at any time of the year.
