Tiverton 4.3 miles. Valley House, a grand, detached house, is situated on the banks of the canal in Halberton at the end of a no-through lane. With its private waterside setting, it is a fabulous place to relax and watch the world go by on the water and towpath. From the porch, head through to the oak-fitted kitchen with its little breakfast table for morning coffees, a well-equipped room for preparing family meals to enjoy in the dining room whilst you observe the canal life. For sitting comfortably, you have a choice of the sitting room with its glass door to slide open to the garden, or the conservatory with comfy seats. For anyone who doesn't want to tackle the stairs there is one ground-floor twin bedroom and a bathroom, or head upstairs to four more bedrooms with some lovely views of the canal and the Blackdown Hills. The children will love the games room which doubles as an optional bedroom for alternative sleeping.
