Outside there is a rear courtyard with furniture, so grab a bottle of wine and enjoy an evening under the stars or take advantage of the bike storage for those wishing to explore the area on two wheels. The Reading Room is just a stone's throw away from the quaint village shop for any self-catering essentials, or the pub if you'd prefer an evening of hearty food and local Somerset cider. Either side of the village there are two towns, Crewkerne and Ilminster, which are both filled with supermarkets, high street shops and independent stores. Also, just a short drive away is the larger town of Yeovil which is home to a cinema, a golf course and a country park, as well as the nearby 16th century National Trust Montacute House with formal gardens.
