The Anchorage will accommodate up to eight people over three floors and its superb dramatic clifftop location gives fantastic cliff and sea views. The ground floor has a dining room, a fitted kitchen with access to the rear decked area, a spacious sitting room with, not only amazing coastal views, but also an open fire, ideal on those cooler days. There is also a sun room which can be enjoyed throughout the year thanks to the woodburning stove. The first floor has three bedrooms, a double with an en-suite, boasting a lovely freestanding bath, a second double and a 2’ 6” twin. The second floor has a further double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a balcony opening up onto stunning views along the coast and out to swirling sea beyond. The garden has a decked area and is the perfect place to drink in the atmosphere and relax with a good book. A short walk brings you down onto the stony beach below and there are additional coastal walks within this beautiful part of Scotland, including the Southern Upland Way, Scotland’s longest official Long Distance Path, terminating here at the village of Cockburnspath. Alternatively, for a different, but no less beautiful, backdrop, head inland and explore some lovely Borders scenery including the Lammermuir Hills, attractive towns and historic abbeys. Just north of Dunbar is spectacular Belhaven Bay with its famous beach or should you fancy and day in Edinburgh, there is a regular service from Dunbar. Golfers are well-provided for with an array of championship and public courses including Muirfield and Gullane nearby and there’s diving, surfing and cycling opportunities in abundance. With beautiful coastline, great walks and access to superb scenery at your fingertips, there is something for everyone at The Anchorage, whatever the season. EPC Rating: Band F
