The property
The Old Sty is a delightful converted single storey brick building within the grounds of Garston House Farm situated in the pretty hamlet of Garston near the village of Whiston, Staffordshire, nestled on the edge of the Peak District. Internally, this former sty has been completely renovated to provide stunning modern accommodation for couples, giving a real home-from-home vibe. Step through to the open-plan interior, wonderfully appointed to the front of the property. A compact kitchen has fitted units and sleek worktops, with a range of modern appliances. With a dining area and seating for two people, a lovely space to enjoy a romantic meal together of an evening, with a refreshing glass of wine. The sitting room has a sofa, where you can curl up with your loved one and enjoy a relaxing evening together. Down the hall, you will find one king-size bedroom, which has zip and link features and can be made into a twin upon request. Boasting a light bathroom with a bath and shower over, with high-quality fixtures and fittings. Outside there is a small patio area with furniture, a place to sit out in a morning with a cup of tea and watch the sunrise. Situated on the owner's small farm, home to Dorset sheep, a pedigree Welsh pig and three Huacaya alpacas. The nearby village of Denstone boasts the lovely Award Winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop, selling local artisan produce, also offering a rustic café, serving light bites and drinks with a beauty salon on site. Originally named the Blackbrook Wildlife Park, now known as the Peak Wildlife Park, this wonderful attraction is also within driving distance of the property, with access to a range of exotic and endangered animals and meerkats. While you're in the area, why not take a drive to the fantastic adventure park of Alton Towers? Offering so many exciting and thrilling roller coaster rides, you'll struggle to fit them all into one trip! Local character pubs within a short distance with a shop in the nearby village of Waterhouses, you won't be short of eateries to visit. Also nearby are many great walking and cycling paths to get involved in and the beautiful town of Asbourne. The Old Sty also offers a lockable bike store, with an outside tap to wash muddy boots. The Old Sty may also be booked together with two other barns (PR 1026268, 1026269), providing combined accommodation for up to 16 guests.
