The property

Within two miles of Chatsworth House, nestled at the heart of the enchanting Derbyshire countryside, amidst the delights of the pretty village of Rowsley is Lees Moor Cottage. This traditional terrace cottage offers a wonderful base for families to explore all that the Peak District has to offer, ranging quaint towns and villages, interesting walks and historical landmarks. Retaining a wealth of original features, the sitting room boasts exposed beams and a woodburning stove taking centre stage before the Smart TV and the plush sofas. Look forward to cosying up here after a busy day and putting on your favourite DVD, or simply enjoy a good book with the woodburning stove crackling as your soundtrack. Beyond here is the kitchen, where you can make use of the triple electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer to cater delicious home-cooked meals. Once dinner is cooked, head to the dining room to enjoy quality time with your family and to plan the next day’s adventure. Head upstairs, where you can look forward to resting within one of the superbly appointed bedrooms or indulging with a soak in the freestanding bath with a glass of something chilled in hand. Unpack your belongings in the provided chest of draws before falling asleep in either the double bedroom or the twin bedroom. During a balmy afternoon, make use of the front garden, relaxing on the bench seating before lighting up the barbecue to cook up a storm. To the rear of the property, you will find off-road parking for your car, as well as an external utility housing a tumble dryer. Paces away from the cottage are a number of quaint and quirky pubs, which are awaiting to be enjoyed if you do not feel like cooking one evening, as well as an old-fashioned sweet shop and ice cream parlour for those special treats. From here, those who are feeling active can take a picturesque walk along River Derwent, or for those with two wheels, Rowsley Bar has been named in the top 100 climbs in Britain is nearby. Within striking distance of the cottage is the famous Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, offering wonderful tours around the Painted Hall, State Rooms and Sculpture Gallery, as well as gardens.
