When it comes to a peaceful night's sleep, the fabulous double bedroom is a promising choice, complimented by bedside tables, and overhead storage cupboards, as well as more fitted wardrobes that lie adjacent. The stone fireplace represents charm and character, with a pleasant outlook over the village creating a lovely backdrop to wake up to. A delightful twin room is equally as desirable, from the soothing colour scheme to the panelled walls, and cushions, you will feel truly relaxed. Stroll outside to appreciate the enclosed courtyard, your little haven to unwind with a refreshing drink, enjoying the exposed stone surrounding the calming stream. Castleton boasts an array of little gift shops, food pubs and an excellent Visitor Centre with its small museum explaining life in the Hope Valley. The Christmas lights and festive activities are very popular with visitors during December. Nearby are the pretty villages of Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, Hope and Hathersage with its seasonal outdoor swimming pool. Enjoy a day out at Alton Towers or visit the impressive Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, also within easy reach are Buxton, Matlock Bath and Carsington Water.
