The three bedrooms offer flexible accommodation whatever the requirements. Outside the large lawned garden offers an ideal space for the children to run off the last of their energy, or for dining alfresco on a summer's evening. Children will also enjoy the playing field and children's playground in the village which are only a minute's walk away. The village is close to the beautiful Chesterfield Canal with great walking on the towpath known as The Cuckoo Way. The Trans-Pennine Trail is also close by and is just the ticket for walkers and cyclists. Guests can look out for the brass monkey on The Clocktower and it was said that its tail pointed upwards when the Staveley Coal and Iron Company was in profit, and downwards if it made a loss! There are lots of good local walks from the doorstep and with easy access to the Peak District, walkers will be spoilt for choice. Chesterfield really is a gateway for exploring Derbyshire and the glorious Peak District. Whether you’d like to visit stately homes, which the county has more than its fair share of, or castles, including the fairytale mansion of Bolsover Castle, this area has it all.
