The village has a cricket pitch, a medieval church, children's playground, Erewash Golf Course, two good pubs serving home-cooking and pedigree ales, and charming tearooms in the old school providing homemade lunches and cakes. This heart-warming retreat is perfect for couples and families alike seeking a rural location yet halfway between the bustling cities of Nottingham and Derby, an easy drive away from the wonderful Peak District National Park. Upon entering the property, be welcomed into an open-plan living space after a long day, and tune into the TV with a DVD player so you can watch all your favourite classic films or use the CD player to listen to music. There are dining areas in the kitchen and the adjoining sitting room providing plenty of space for gathering over a home-cooked meal and a refreshing beverage. The kitchen has been fitted to a high-standard, housing all the essential appliances you could possibly need during a week-long stay, including a dishwasher as an added benefit. As the evening draws to a close, follow the steps up to the first floor where a king-size and double bedroom await, with fresh bed linens and a range of furniture for storing your personal belongings. Throw open the doors to find a gravelled court yard with tables and chairs to enjoy the last glimpses of sunshine during a summer's evening. To keep you busy whilst staying here, make the most of the being centrally located between the bustling cities of Nottingham and Derby, both rich with a popular tourist hub. Discover the National Trust property of Kedleston Hall, Derby Museum and Art Gallery and a variety of independent shops, supermarkets, pubs and cafés in case you fancy a spot of lunch or picking up a souvenir for your loved one’s back home. There is a rich network of footpaths that radiate from the village with undulating countryside of fields, meadows, bluebell woods and a famous cave, ideal for horse riders, hikers, runners and cyclists.
