If you can see the sun shining out of the beautiful picture windows, then make your way to opposite the property, where there is a fantastic hidden garden complete with lawns and views over the river, where you can take a seat and soak up the views and the sunshine. When it’s time for bed, there are two well-presented bedrooms; a king-size with en-suite and a double, both are equally charming and provide a calming place to recharge your batteries. In the morning after a quick dip in the shower, you’ll be refreshed and raring to go and with so much to see and do there isn’t a minute to waste. Known for being home to the dramatic ruins of a 12th century castle, Warkworth is well worth taking a stroll into and the village’s link to the past continues with its selection of antique shops and galleries and it also has a beach and a golf course. Attractions in the area worth visiting include Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands and Alnwick Gardens. Other beaches nearby worth packing a bucket and spade for include Alnmouth, Cresswell, Embleton and Newton Haven.
