Head for the coastline, where you'll locate the magnificent Warkworth Castle, or enjoy a stroll along Warkworth Beach, a dog-friendly landscape, before heading for Alnwick, its Bailiffgate Museum, River Aln, and characterful Alnwick Abbey Gatehouse.
