Explore the narrow, quirky ginnels and the cobbled market square or stroll down to the harbour. There are numerous attractions in the town, including the open top tour bus, whale watching boat trips, Captain Cook's Museum, evening ghost walks and lovely floral displays in Pannett Park. The long, sandy beaches are perfect for children, whilst the seafront theatre hosts shows and films throughout the summer months.
