Summary

The cottage met expectations with no hidden surprises and was accommodating. It is in a quiet location, clean, and comfortable with good facilities. Guests appreciated the welcoming hosts, extras like tea and coffee, and the information provided about the area. Minor issues included slow hot water and some stains but did not detract from a pleasant stay.

A charming stone-built end-terrace cottage, in a quiet courtyard development on the outskirts of the vibrant market town of Richmond. This cottage offers comfortable accommodation in a tranquil setting, yet just a scenic walk from the centre of the town with all its amenities. The cottage has an open-plan living area with a sunny aspect, leading to a patio and a further private parking and outside eating area, ideal for alfresco dining. On the doorstep, Richmond has wonderful Georgian architecture with cobbled streets and many attractive shops and country inns. Market day will be interesting to many, and the Norman castle has a commanding view over the picturesque River Swale. The river and open countryside is just 10 minutes' walk. This pretty cottage provides the perfect base for discovering the beauty of the Dales and yet it is within easy reach of York, Harrogate and the North York Moors.
