Summary

The cottage is located in a beautiful, peaceful area with stunning views and a tranquil garden. However, cleanliness and dated furnishings were concerns. Some guests found the steep stairs and signage excessive, while the absence of Wi-Fi and nearby amenities was noted. Overall, it offers a cozy retreat for those looking to disconnect.

The property

Step back in time to this very cosy 1800s detached cottage at Rhiw, near seaside Aberdaron, featuring extensive panoramic views over Hell's Mouth towards the Snowdonia mountain range beyond. In a rural location, high on Rhiw Mountain, visitors can enjoy this traditional retreat and its excellent location all season round. A characterful cobbled path takes you up to the entrance of Conion Ganol, where you will step inside to discover the wonderful lounge, elevated by a multi-fuel stove tucked away into an original inglenook fireplace. From the rugged exposed beams, to the Welsh dresser, this is your own little hideaway; there is even a dining table for six people to come together. The galley kitchen is neatly equipped and elevated by natural views, so you can be at one with the destination as you go about your day. A lovely Shower room brings a modern twist to the property, finishing the ground floor. A double bedroom is situated close by, overlooked by exposed beams, with more beautiful scenery to wake up to, whilst two twin low aitch bedrooms lie upstairs, accessed by a very steep open-tread staircase. The low ceilings give the cottage a true charm effect, an enchanting place for the children to settle down after a fun-filled afternoon When you are not admiring the beautiful landscape, take some time to explore the surrounding areas, perhaps the amenities of Aberdaron, Sarn Mellteyrn, Botwnnog and Mynytho, all within a 10-minute drive. The popular resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch are within easy reach. Discover fabulous castles and coves, or enjoy fishing, water sports and golf opportunities, all available nearby. The dramatic scenery and abundance of walks at the Snowdonia National Park area are within good distance. A one-of-a-kind cottage in a precious part of Wales.
