The property

Cornhill Courtyard is a quirky and fun holiday apartment in Porthmadog, a popular harbour town in North Wales. A romantic retreat sleeping two and to explore the area, this is a wonderful ground-floor holiday apartment in an amazing location, overlooking the harbour. Spacious and bright inside, it’s a relaxing environment for your tranquil retreat, and just a short walk from pubs, shops and historic steam trains, you’re in easy reach of all of the delights that the town has to offer. Offering a studio layout, the living and sleeping space is all open-plan and overlooks the gorgeous harbour, with the textured walls adding interest and the large corner sofa providing comfort both when sitting and relaxing and when doubling up as a plush sofa bed in the evening! Within the open-plan living space you can also find a dining area where you can enjoy your home-cooked meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen just off of the room, accompanied by a marvellous flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD, CD and bluetooth speaker in this room for all of your evening entertainment. The shower room is tiled throughout and fitted with Italian porcelain, providing you with a gleaming spot to prepare for your fun-filled day ahead. Located in a quiet and attractive cobbled section of Porthmadog Harbour known as Pen Cei which translates as ‘head of the quay', the local area is a stunning base to explore the hidden gems of the area. Porthmadog itself has an interesting mix of shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs, along with some of North Wales' best attractions, most notably are the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways, which you can find right on your doorstep! For golfers you have Porthmadog nearby, Royal St Davids' championship golf course a real test, or catch the train to Aberdovey a good test of links golf. Choose to take a stroll along the famous Cob walk, or venture to the Afon Glaslyn which will bring you down to the sea where you can soak in the sun and enjoy the breath-taking mountains of Snowdonia as a backdrop. With the World famous Italianate village of Portmeirion within reach by car too, Cornmill Cottage makes a delightful base for exploring this exciting area of North Wales.
