Head to the bustling resort of Rhyl, where you will find a historic miniature railway which offers children rides around the picturesque Marine Lake, as well as the fun-filled SC2 Rhyl, a fantastic leisure centre with a host of activities, including a swimming pool, slides and Ninja Tag. Don’t forget to make a stop at the SeaQuarium Rhyl, which hosts a wide variety of marine life and sealion shows throughout the day. Take the short drive to the nearby market town of Abergele, home to the historic Gwrych Castle, which featured on the hit ITV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and offers expansive views and beautiful gardens which house a giant chessboard to be explored. Just a short walk away from the castle is the charming family-run Manorafon Farm, where you can meet and feed a selection of sweet farm animals, a great day to spend with the children.
