Summary
The property received positive feedback for its excellent location, cleanliness, and comfortable amenities. Guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, modern facilities, and welcoming atmosphere. Some noise issues were noted on weekends, but overall, it was considered a great base for exploring nearby attractions.
The property
Harbourside is a welcoming mid-terrace grade II listed cottage, directly adjacent to the harbour in the old part of Porthmadog.
Harbourside is a three-storey base, ideal for friends and families wishing to relax and explore the treasures on offer along this beautiful coastline of North Wales.
The cottage is well appointed, and is decorated and furnished in a homely style, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether a short break or longer.
You enter the property into a stylish sitting room, where you can cuddle up to enjoy some television by the electric fire. You will also find the fully equipped kitchen diner which includes Belfast sink, twin electric ovens, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a dining table with seating for six, which makes a sociable space for those leisurely breakfasts and late suppers.
Heading upstairs, the first-floor boasts a triple bunk room with wooden furnishings and ample storage for guests to unpack, as well as a shower room with a spacious walk-in shower so guests can get ready in style. The first floor also hosts a games room / snug where you can challenge your loved ones to a game of pool, air hockey, table football or darts.
Climbing up to the second-floor there is a double bedroom with hanging space and a further king-size bedroom with a sea and sand colour theme.
Outside you can grab a free roadside parking spot or head to the nearby public car park, and with the beach, harbour and town all just a short walk away, this property makes a perfect place to stay.
All the amenities of this historic seaside port are on the doorstep - visit the craft and souvenir shops, excellent restaurants, tea rooms and inns, stroll along the coast to the famous Black Rock Sands beach, or to visit the pretty village of Borth-y-Gest, of which the beach is just 10 minute stroll away from the property.
Nearby attractions include the world-famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam train, only a five-minute walk from the cottage, so hop on board to travel 13.5 miles through some of the most dramatic scenery the area has to offer.
Visit Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which is now also the home of Zip World Titan, the longest four-man zip wire in Europe, as well as Bounce Below, an underground trampoline park, and Antur Stiniog Mountain Bike centre with its various downhill trails.
The Italianate village of Portmeirion is also only two miles away and makes for a charming day out.
For an ideal retreat, all year round, choose the delightful Harbourside as your home-away-from-home.
