Summary
The property is well-equipped, clean, and cozy, ideal for exploring the coast. However, it is located on a busy road with parking issues and not much appealing scenery. Neighbors' complaints caused some discomfort. Additional amenities like towels and placemats would be beneficial. Overall, a good base for activities.
The property
Tucked away in the small seaside town of Amlwch, Anglesey, is this fantastic two-bedroom, semi-detached holiday home, 1 Old Kingdom Hall. A former village hall, 1 Old Kingdom Hall enjoys a fabulous location along the coast, surrounded by history and a well-appointed interior with all couples or a family of four could need during their getaway. Be greeted by a lovely front patio with seating, a wonderful spot for enjoying your morning coffee as you plan the day's adventures. Step into the ground floor, where you will find two well-presented bedrooms, a double and an adult bunk, both with plenty of storage. The bedrooms are served by a gleaming bathroom, where you can indulge in a soothing soak in the bath or wash away the day under the overhead shower. Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy dishwasher, ready to enjoy at the breakfast bar for four as you toast to a memorable getaway. After dinner, snuggle up on the plush sofa and select a much-loved film from the flat screen TV as the evening’s entertainment. Explore your local surroundings, where you will find the welcoming eateries of the Dinorben Arms and Rozis Tandoori, as well as a Chinese takeaway and a well-stocked convenience store for stocking up on essentials. Head over to Amlwch Port, where you can delve into the area's rich mining history at the Copper Kingdom Centre or join onto the Heritage Copper Trail which forms part of the 125-mile coastal path. For further history, head to the outskirts where you will find Mynydd Parys and the Mynydd Parys Windmill. Those wishing to test out their clubs whilst on holiday can visit the excellent Bull Bay Golf Club which offers exceptional sea views as you putt. Take the short drive over to Cemaes, where you can spend a day beachcombing the shores of Traeth Mawr and Bach, delving into history at the Cemaes Heritage Centre, or sampling fresh fish and chips from Y Wygr Fish & Chips. Further afield, you will find Holyhead where you can visit the Holyhead Maritime Museum, the picturesque Breakwater Country Park, and access to the renowned Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. For a truly memorable day trip, why not hop aboard a ferry to Dublin? All this and more awaits at 1 Old Kingdom Hall.
