Visit Beaumaris' stunning 13th century castle, gaol and lovely pier, overlooking the Menai Strait and out to Snowdonia. From here, you can hop on a boat to Puffin Island to see the puffins in their protected wildlife habitat and don't forget to pay a visit to the RNLI Beaumaris Lifeboat Station. Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens is a short drive away, as is Pili Palas Nature World, a fascinating and educational day out for children and wildlife lovers. Cross the Menai bridge back over to the mainland to visit popular towns of Caernarfon and Cony, while Bangor is closest to the property, with its Eithinog North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, Penrhyn Castle, gardens and railway museum, owned by the National Trust, plus Garth Pier, which overlooks the isle of Anglesey. Enjoy a day out roaming the spectacular Snowdonia National Park, perhaps taking on a challenging hike or two.
