Summary
The cottage is well-sized, comfortable, and clean, set in a picturesque location near the village and river. Guests appreciated its amenities, including a boot room for dogs. However, some noted a lack of appliance instructions and the firmness of the beds. Overall, it offers a relaxing getaway with good walking options.
The property
Betws-y-Coed 0.7 miles. This wonderful detached cottage is situated in an enviable riverside location on the edge of the popular town of Betws-y-Coed in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. This beautifully presented property is set on its own grounds and is ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends wishing to get together to explore this fantastic area of Wales. The cottage combines character features such as beams and some original sash windows with contemporary convenience. You approach the property up a lovely wooded driveway. The entrance porch with its quarry-tiled floor doubles as a convenient boot room, perfect for kicking off those muddy boots after a day of exploring and the washing machine and tumble dryer are neatly tucked away behind cupboard doors. The kitchen is well-equipped with quality oak mix worktops and has everything you need to prepare delicious meals, with a lovely stable door that can be opened to take in the garden and river views. After a busy day, relax in front of the woodburning stove in the well-appointed sitting room. Upstairs three pleasant bedrooms are offering flexible accommodation. The master bedroom has high ceilings with beams as well as a king-size bed and there is a further double and a delightful single with riverside views. There is a tasteful family bathroom. Outside, relax in the picturesque front garden where you can enjoy the myriad of birdlife and wildlife on the doorstep. Guests also have shared use of the grounds which extend further around the Manor House. There are countryside walks on the doorstep or for the more energetic the mountains of the Snowdonia Range are a short drive away. The popular town of Betws-y-Coed with its array of eclectic shops and restaurants is a short walk away and is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. There are opportunities for walking, mountain biking, and climbing to name a few. Visit Zip World Forest for a tree-top adventure or visit the scenic Fairy Glen or Swallow Falls. Train enthusiasts will want a visit to nearby Ffestiniog with its narrow gauge steam railway and even the coast and the historic walled town of Conwy are within a day's trip. There really is something for everyone from this stunning property.
