The property

Carreg Wen, a charming cottage resting on a working farm in the heart of the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) on the rural outskirts of Harlech, Gwynedd. Boasting a woodburning stove, a barbecue, and private driveway parking for two cars, this delightful retreat is perfect for families or friends, with additional off-road parking and a warm welcome for one furry friend. Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan area, housing a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your favourite meals, a dining area with a breakfast bar offering seating for four guests, and a welcoming sitting area for unwinding after a day of exploration. A handy utility room is also available, fitted with a washer/dryer for your convenience. The ground floor also hosts a single bedroom, ideal for those with limited mobility. Ascend the stairs to discover three further bedrooms; a super-king-size with a TV for those lazy mornings in bed, a pleasant double, and a twin room, all tastefully decorated to provide a serene space to rest. The property benefits from two stylish bathrooms, one with a P-shaped bath and shower over on the first floor, and another with a walk-in shower on the ground floor, offering a choice of where to freshen up each day. Step outside to be charmed by the spectacular views of the rolling countryside. Here, you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining using the barbecue, or simply relax and admire the tranquil countryside surroundings with Snowdonia to your right, Harlech Castle to the left, and sea views far beyond. Venture outside of Carreg Wen and discover a land rich in history and charm. Start with a visit to the magnificent Harlech Castle, a World Heritage site offering breathtaking views over Snowdonia and the Irish Sea. After exploring the storied halls, make your way to The Queen's Hotel, a renowned establishment, where you can savour a hearty pub classic meal and a local ale. End your day with a delicious dessert and a cuppa at Caffi Castell Harlech, a delightful café with awe-inspiring views of the castle. Why not take a stroll along the picturesque Harlech Beach, where you can relax on the golden sands and take in the stunning coastal views? For the more adventurous, head to Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) where you can experience the thrill of Zip World Llechwedd or marvel at the cascading beauty of Rhaeadr Ewynnol/Swallow Falls Waterfall. If hiking is more your style, challenge yourself with a trek up Crib Goch, known for its breathtaking views and exhilarating climb.
