Those keen to get their steps in can explore the famous Offa’s Dyke Path, a 177 miles walking trail which loosely follows the England/Wales border, you can hop on it near Welshpool, or head to Oswestry and while you’re there you can discover the British Ironwork Centre, Old Oswestry Hill Fort, and the Park Hall Countryside Experience. If watersports are your passion, sailing and fishing can be enjoyed at Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, or hop on a steam train at the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway and marvel at the countryside from a different perspective.
