The property
Old Leake 3.8 miles. Approached on quiet country roads and set amidst endless Lincolnshire countryside views, The Stables is an all-ground-floor cottage, converted beautifully from the original stables that were once used on the farm. Enjoy a memorable family holiday in the peace and quiet of the village of Wrangle, within easy reach of a host of attractions in Lincolnshire. Coming in through the front door, take a right turn to explore the property's reception rooms, coming first to the large sitting room where two spaces have been created, with a seating area set around the bi-fold doors out to the patio, you can admire the views from the comfort of the sofa. Beneath quirky light fittings above, the second sitting area is arranged around the TV, so you can enjoy relaxing to a film after a busy, fun-filled day. Head into the lofty kitchen/diner to delight in cooking for the family and tucking into tasty home-cooked meals, with an exquisite fitted kitchen holding all you need, including an impressive range cooker with huge gas hob, and large fridge. At the end of the hall is the utility room which has a big freezer and a washing machine, and access to a cloakroom with basin and WC too. To the the other end of this charming abode are the bedrooms, passing original exposed brick walls on the way, you come to two double bedrooms, one twin, a shared bathroom with an indulgent rainfall shower over the bath, and finally the master king-size bedroom, featuring an en-suite shower room. Sunny days can be spent in the luscious garden, with plenty of lawn space for children and dogs to run around, outdoor furniture for dining alfresco. On a warm evening you can sit out and listen for the owls that live in the brick owl house that sits in the corner of the garden, as well as looking out for owls which nest in an owl box in the trees, just another amazing perk to being in the countryside. The village of Old Leake is just a few miles away and offers a shop and a pub, with several pubs in Wrangle too. Lincolnshire Wildlife Park is located not far from The Stables and offers a wonderful day out for all ages, it is home to tigers, lions, lemurs and many more, or book an experience with the park for a close encounter with your favourite animal. Head to the shores of Skegness for the day to enjoy the seaside air, you can go on thrilling rides at Pleasure Beach Fairground, visit cute seals at the Natureland Seal Sanctuary, or marvel at the sea life in the Skegness Aquarium. Further along the coast is the Fantasy Island theme park with rollercoasters, soft play and live entertainment, while those looking for a more relaxed activity can simply stroll along Skegness Beach and Skegness Pier for some lovely views of the coast. Venture over to Tattershall Country Park to find Tattershall Lake Water Park where you can wakeboard, go kayaking or paddleboarding, or try to get across the obstacles in the Aqua Park.
