At the end of the day, choose from two bedrooms to rest your head There is a master king-size bedroom boasting its own en-suite bathroom and traditional vaulted and beamed ceiling, and velux window where you can star gaze from the sumptuous brass bed and wonder at Lincolnshire unspoilt night skies, there is an equally elegant double room served by a second bathroom, which provides a great sleeping arrangement for a couple, pair of couples or family. In the mornings, the private lawn makes the perfect place to soak in the countryside scenery with a cup of coffee, before packing up a picnic and heading out into the local countryside or the River Till is a pleasant 10 minute walk from Barn End where you can sit at the private riverbank and gaze at the swans floating by from the owners jetty, the perfect private get away, fishing is free in season, so bring your rods! Nearby Saxilby hosts all the amenities you need for a self-catered stay, including pubs, cafe’s, supermarket and Post Office, as well as a railway station providing good links to Lincoln, the next stop along the line, so ideal if planning a day sight- seeing without the constraints of car parking. Lincoln is a magical city, both modern and vibrant but also, incredibly historic, with its imposing Cathedral on the hill which towers over the medieval quarter and its Castle housing an original copy of the Magna Carta, walled walks and museums.
