Explore your local surroundings further with a trip to the well-known market town of Kendal, where you can visit the remarkable Abbot Hall to view fine art, delve into history with a stop at the 12th-century ruins of Kendal Castle or get to know your local area at the Kendal Museum. For those sport-lovers there are a host of activities available to get involved with from football, cycling and golf, to snow sports and rock-climbing at the Lakeland Climbing Centre.
