Further afield, Morecambe rests on the Lancashire coast, located on the estuary of the River Lune and is bounded to the north by the Cumbrian mountains. The town was once a thriving seaside resort and is now a popular tourist destination with attractions including Lancaster Castle, Happy Mount Park, and Lancaster City Museum.
