The property
Pike View Cottage is set in an elevated position and boasts spectacular views of the surrounding countryside one mile from the delightful village of Heptonstall, West Yorkshire. Set over three floors with an open-plan living space, a toasty woodburning stove, and two bedrooms, this homely cottage welcomes families with older children and friends to enjoy a peaceful retreat. On arrival, two entrances split over the ground and first floors, adding yet more character to the home. Within the open-plan living space, the kitchen is well-equipped for your self-catering stay with a dishwasher and washing machine as well as all the necessary cooking appliances to assist you. From here, there’s a dining table for four to gather around and plan your adventures, as well as the plush sofas in front of the fire with a perfect view of the rolling green hills. Making your way upstairs, the sitting room makes the ideal chill space with a TV and the family bathroom rests here too for when it’s time to freshen up before bed. Climb the next flight of stairs to reach a twin room and a king-size which has yet more beautiful scenery through the window. Outside, the garden makes a lovely spot for your morning coffee or a light lunch. Venture out to explore the village, where there’s a shop and pub so you won’t have to go far for the essentials and your evening tipple. Just one village over is the popular Hebden Bridge, known for its galleries and picture-perfect architecture, an idyllic day out for those who love a quintessentially British-feeling town. Nearby there’s an endless number of walking and cycling routes including the Pennine 100. The area is full of a selection of pubs, cafés and restaurants to choose from, dotted throughout the adorable towns and villages. Why not also visit Hardcastle Craggs, a National Trust property nearby which boasts a spectacular wooded valley with a 19th century Gibson Mill at its heart. Enjoy scenery, character, and a well-earned break at Pike View Cottage.
