Take a relaxing stroll alongside Lake Windermere and admire its fabulous and far-reaching views, or why not get involved in some water sports, including kayaking and boat rides. Open tour buses are available in the nearby towns of Ambleside and Grasmere, whilst lake cruises are a lovely way to explore the area. Literary lovers will delight in a visit to the World of Beatrix Potter, which is great for those with children or head to the National Trust owned Hill Top, which was formerly the farmhouse that Beatrix Potter lived in.
