There are numerous walks from the door including over Wansfell to Troutbeck, Loughrigg Fell, Rydal Mount and the Coffin Route to Grasmere, and the lovely paths to Low and High Sweden Bridges and beyond onto Low Pike and the Fairfield Horseshoe or Red Screes. Ambleside centre is within walking distance for all your local shopping plus a host of eating places to suit every taste and pocket.
