Gather at the dining table in the farmhouse kitchen and crack open a bottle of wine and discuss the plans for week whilst the chef of the group prepares a tasty home-cooked meal, aided by the electric Aga cooker. Those with limited mobility can choose the ground-floor bedroom, which can be arranged as a twin or zip/link king-size on request. Discover three further bedrooms upstairs, comprising two king-size rooms, which both offer lovely views over the valley and garden, while there is also a tastefully decorated zip- link bedroom that benefits from its own en-suite facilities. Relish in the natural beauty of the Langdale Valley from your own extensive garden, which was a former prize-winner in the Lakes Parish in Bloom competition, with a host of delightful trees and shrubs, sweeping lawns and a sunny south-facing patio. There are breath-taking Langdale views all around, visible from most rooms in the house and some of Lakeland’s most dramatic walks are available from the doorstep. A number of pubs serving good food and drink are close by, the nearest being only half a mile away just down the valley. There are some incredible places in this area of the Lake District National Park, with Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Grasmere all nearby and offering a great range of things to do and see. Explore the woods at Orrest Head where you will discover unrivalled views of the lakes and even stumble upon a Gruffalo or hop in a car and head to Bowness-on-Windermere where you can enjoy a gentle stroll along the lakes or visit the local attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter.
