Perched in the delightful rural village of Lazonby, Cumbria, is this charming mid-terrace cosy cottage, 3 Eden View. Dating back to 1860, the cottage enjoys a prime location set between the North Pennines AONB and the Lake District National Park. 3 Eden View is a wonderful pet-friendly choice for couples or a family of three. Complete with original features, be welcomed into the inviting living/dining room with a plush sofa, TV and a woodburning stove, perfect for relaxing evenings with loved ones. Settle at the dining table for four where you can enjoy long, lazy dinners over a celebratory bottle of fizz. Continue through to the well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up your best home-cooked meals, which can also be savoured out in the rear garden patio or courtyard as you soak up the last of the day’s sunshine. Follow the stairs up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day amongst the bubbles in the beautiful p-shaped bath, before retiring to a tastefully decorated double room or a fun relaxing single room with French doors overlooking the rear garden to catch your rest. The private pet-friendly rear garden is south facing overlooking open fields that often house sheep, depending on the time of year. Swallows and house martins are frequent visitors. Explore the village, where you can treat your loved ones to a meal out at the Midland Hotel, stock up on essentials at the Co-Op supermarket and store, enjoy leisurely strolls along the River Eden footpath and further afield, or take a dip in the Lazonby & District heated outdoor swimming pool. The walk to Kirkoswald is just over a mile along a safe off-road path that runs alongside the main road. KO as it is affectionately known locally is home to two pubs - the Featherstone Arms and The Crown Inn as well as a village post office. The Featherstone offers exceptional meals and is extremely popular. Next stop is Penrith, where you can tour the Penrith and Eden Museum, visit the fascinating Penrith Castle, hike up the Beacon Hill which offers breath-taking views, enjoy wildlife rich walks through Thacka Nature Reserve, test out your swing at the excellent golf club, or visit the nearby Brougham Castle and Mayburgh Henge. Slightly further afield is Pooley Bridge, home to Granny Dowbekins Tearooms, a café, sailing school, bookshop, a boat hire service and a watersports centre, so there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water!
