There is plenty to do in the area, with interesting walks from the doorstep or around Lake Windermere, numerous golf courses, and the elegant town of Grange-over-Sands, with plenty of excellent tea rooms, specialist food shops and a promenade. Within 30 minutes' drive of this Lindale cottage is the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, the Haverthwaite and Lakeside Steam Railway, and the Aquarium of the Lakes. From Lakeside you can embark on the Windermere Steamer and enjoy the spectacular scenery whilst cruising up Lake Windermere to the bustling towns of Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside.
