Gather around the dining table set for six where you can plan your itinerary for the days ahead after dinner. Rest up for another day of adventure by ascending the wide stairway, where you’ll find three beautifully appointed bedrooms, each offering stunning views of the countryside and charming village, a perfect backdrop to wake up to each morning. The king-size bedroom is enhanced by exposed wooden beams and original windows, carrying through the home’s timeless charm. The double bedroom, also featuring original window beams, and the snug twin, are equally inviting and thoughtfully designed to unwind. Freshen up in the sleek shower room, before heading into the local village of Gosforth. Gosforth has a beautiful bakery selling lots of freshly made food. Gosforth has some amazing pubs. Dine out at The Wild Olive, The Lion and the Lamb, Gosforth Hall or The Kellbank when you don't feel like cooking. Some of these are also dog friendly. Just a 7 min drive or long and leisurely walk with your pooch will lead you to Seascale where you can enjoy the sounds of the sea and a beach-side walk, mawsons ice cream parlour and coffee shop with amazing sea views. There is a fantastic play area and the beach is dog friendly. Railway enthusiasts will love a day at the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, while history lovers can spend the afternoon exploring the ruins of Ravenglass Roman Bath House and the grand grounds at Muncaster Castle. Be sure to take advantage of your surroundings in the Lake District National Park, with a trip up Scafell Pike if you're feeling energetic, or with a day of watersports at one of the many lakes including Wastwater, Buttermere, further afield, Ullswater, Coniston or Windermere.
