Wander the tranquil woodland of Stagshaw Garden before continuing to the centre of Ambleside where you will find a plethora of charming cafés, restaurants and pubs, together covering all of your self-catering needs. See the ancient remains of Ambleside Roman Fort, or visit the neighbouring villages of Rydal and Grasmere to learn of the life and works of famous English Poet William Wordsworth.
