The accommodation is clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a great location near the lake and local amenities. However, noise from the busy road may disturb light sleepers, and some guests noted the absence of fans during hot weather and insufficient cutlery. Perched right next to the famous Lake Windemere, 8 Waterhead Terrace is a superb setting for exploring the lakes, enjoying close proximity to Grasmere and Keswick. Step into the contemporary open-plan living space, where you can impress your guests with your culinary skills in the well-equipped kitchen, as your guests lay the dining room table and uncork a bottle of wine. Retire to the large corner sofa where you can enjoy your favourite TV show on the Smart TV with your loved ones. Head to the lower-ground-floor where you can take advantage of the shower room, perfect for getting ready for the day with complete privacy. Back on the first floor, there is a handy cloakroom, ideal for a quick freshen up. As the evening grows darker, head up to the first floor where you will find two light and airy bedrooms, a double and a twin, both great for catching your rest. Enjoy a soothing soak in the bath with your favourite book, before joining your guests downstairs for coffee. Explore your local surroundings, your first activity being right on your doorstep, Lake Windemere, where you can get involved with a variety of watersports, from paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and wakeboarding to name a few. For those who prefer to get out on the water but less hands-on, there are cruises and boat trips which take place on the lake frequently, perfect for taking in the beautiful scenery. Head to Windemere, where you can embark up Queen Adelaides Hill which has impressive views over Lake Windemere and the Langdale Pikes in the distance, delve into history at the Windemere Jetty Museum, which offers family activities and steam-launch tours. Just a little further is the village of Grasmere, where you can take a tour of the home of the famous poet William Wordsworth, with beautiful gardens and onsite team rooms, or enjoy a wander around the Faeryland Grasmere, where you can take boat tours and spot the local wildlife followed by a pot of tea and a slice of cake on the lawn.
