Summary
The property is centrally located, clean, and well-equipped, ideal for accessing local amenities and walking. However, it has some minor issues, including a poorly stocked kitchen, cleanliness concerns, and the absence of a microwave. Many appreciated the comfort and ambiance, but some noted it needs maintenance.
The property
Banks Place is an attractive mid terrace cottage located in the centre of Keswick, perfect for couples looking for a romantic Lake District break.
This well-appointed cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished in a modern style, ensuring a stylish and comfortable stay. Upstairs there are views across the countryside towards Grisedale and a master double bedroom with a comfortable king size bed. If required, this room can also be converted to two single beds instead. One of the main features of this cottage is the spacious and luxurious bathroom which includes a slipper bath ideal for anyone looking to unwind or enjoy some me time.
Downstairs the open plan but cosy living area has a kitchen space with a breakfast bar and slate tile flooring. The living area also has a multi-fuel stove and TV, ensuring there is no better place to relax on a cold evening after a busy day exploring the local area. The cottage also benefits from a high quality Sonos sound system providing pure, immersive sound.
There is outside seating to the front of the cottage and private residents parking on a first come first served basis plus unrestricted parking on street nearby (you should note that entry to the residents parking is down a narrow alley).
The cottage is a short walk away from the local amenities of Keswick, including restaurants, pubs and local shops as well as attractions such as the Cumberland Pencil Museum, lakeside walks and Derwentwater with jetties where you can take a boat tour or hire a rowing boat.
This stylish cottage is a great choice for couples looking for a base to explore the area.
