Up the oak staircase to the bedroom accommodation, which consists of a double and two twins.

There is storage for your bike if you've taken to two wheels for your break.

Brandlingill is a small hamlet in the Lorton Vale, but a car journey will take you to all the amenities you will need in the market town of Cockermouth.

Cockermouth itself is steeped in history, having been the birthplace of William Wordsworth. From here you can sample a tipple at the Jennings Brewery or venture further afield through the western reaches of the Lake District, or perhaps a drive through the mountainous Whinlatter Pass.
