Resting on the outskirts of the Cranborne Chase AONB in the market town of Wimborne Minster, Dorset is The Cottage. This delightful single-storey cottage welcomes up to six guests across two bedrooms as well as your canine companion and boasts a bright, airy and contemporary decor, making it a wonderful setting for families or friends looking to explore Dorset’s coast and countryside. Set in a peaceful location, it’s ideal for unwinding and soaking up the sounds of nature. After a busy day meandering through the countryside or exploring nearby Canford Heath Nature Reserve, which offers scenic walks and views out to Poole Bay, return to the living/dining room and snuggle up on one of the plush sofas while the Smart TV plays a family favourite in the background. Stay warm and cosy and watch as the designated chef whips up a tasty meal in the fully-equipped kitchen to be enjoyed at the dining table with seating for the whole group. Outside, you’ll find shared access to a spacious paddock dotted with oak trees and woodland, a perfect spot for dog walks or a bit of quiet deer- or owl-spotting. Thanks to low light pollution, stargazing here is excellent too. There’s even a shared outdoor tap for washing muddy boots and paws, and guests can make use of the shared tennis courts on site. The coastal town of Bournemouth with its stunning stretches of golden sands is under ten miles away and is an idyllic setting for a day in the sun; visit Oceanarium with a variety of marine ecosystems, underwater tunnels and feeding sessions or have fun at Bournemouth Pier Amusements which is full of arcade games. Thrill seekers can zip wire over the pier or visit RockReef which houses a rock-climbing wall, ropes course and cave themed tunnels.
