The property
Situated in the exclusive and gated development of Shire Horse Mews, Footprint is a conversion from the original stables used by the Devenish Brewery in Weymouth.
Boasting a stylish lounge and a master bedroom with en-suite, this mews cottage is very comfortably appointed and well equipped. It is light and airy and is warm and cosy for winter holidays, and is perfectly located for summer breaks.
A short stroll away is ever-changing Brewers Quay area with cafes, restaurants and XV century Tudor house. Just a few minutes' walk away is Newton’s Cove offering a lovely promenade walk and pebble beach which leads to Nothe Fort and Gardens, the perfect place for a picnic on a sunny day.
Weymouth's golden sands lie only about a 15 minute walk away from the property. A brisk walk along the quayside to collect your morning paper will start the day well.
Weymouth is a perfect location to lots to entertain and explore. Whether you like walking or driving and visiting places, you will find a lot of destinations to choose from nearby if you decide to leave the beach behind. You can visit beautiful Durdle Door and Lulworth cove which can be easily reached either with car or a bus, or you can choose to walk on the stunning clifftops following the South West Coast path. It’s a challenging 16-mile walk, but very rewarding. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to finish your day with a tasty meal in Weymouth, with every type of cuisine available.
Venture along the coast to the east and visit the beautiful historic village of Abbotsbury with its Swannery and Sub-tropical gardens. There are various attractions in the village with small shops and beautiful village streets, and with a visit to the Children’s Barn and St Catherine’s Chapel you can spend the whole day there, perhaps topped off with a tasty cream tea.
